Social bookmarking is where you save bookmarks to a web site and being able to tagging them with certain words or keywords. Social bookmarking is a new way where you can organize information. You can create bookmarks and tag interesting web sites. On websites such as Diigo or Delicious you can share with other members what you have tagged. Users on the web sites can also see how many people have used a tag and search for all the resources that are related to that tag. With Diigo and Delicious, my favorite social booking sites, you can download a simple toolbar where if you are on a website you can simply just bookmark it or tag the web site.
